Aaron began writing at the age of 8. Unfortunately it was in the age before computers so those great works have been lost to us forever. However, at the age of 24 he discovered playwriting and his love for the theatre grew. Over the next decade he had work produced in Central California, Orange County, CA., Los Angeles and Chicago. Aaron received his BFA in Playwriting from The Theatre School at DePaul University in Chicago in 2003 and will receive his MA in Writing Arts from St Joseph’s University in Philadelphia in 2010.
Aaron’s first play “Common Ground” was produced at Modesto Jr. College’s First Annual New Playwright’s Festival. He has since had staged readings with Chicago Dramatists and Victory Gardens Theatre in Chicago. His one-man show “What’s Wrong With Me?” was performed at the Improv Olympic theater in Los Angeles.
Aaron also spent several years as an actor on stage and has done stand up comedy and improvisational acting in Los Angeles and Chicago.
After five years in Los Angeles as a struggling screenwriter where he wrote two screenplays, Aaron decided his self-esteem was not serving him well trampled on the floor, so he returned to his true passion, the theatre.
More recently Aaron was a finalist in the American Conservatory Theatre’s ‘David Mamet Playwriting Competition’. His play Glen Gary GlenBraveheart” received a staged reading with the other seven finalists.
Since moving to Philadelphia Aaron has begun work on a new crime novel, co-wrote a romantic comedy with his wife (MAN-icure), and is currently working on a new play “J.A.K.” for his master’s thesis and hopes to have a staged reading in June 2010.
Aaron currently lives in Philadelphia with his wife MarinaPatrice and their three cats, Knuckles, Bruno and Juniper(Juju). They love the city of Brotherly love. Go Phillies!
